Does the old saying hold true that the books are better than the filmed medium? I've only watched the series, but I'm an avid reader, so at some point I'm going to read the books. Since I'm going to join this community more and more, I'd rather not spoil things for me by not knowing the full series and having something spoiled for me by reading a page. I already know more than I wanted to by accidentally reading a page, lol.
