My school is having a gradution dance, and my best friends need to help me pick out dresses, (we are having two), and shoes. So maybe around 6. Also, I just started reading the TVD books! They are sooo good!! I have the first 2 books in 1 book. The Awakening and The Struggle. They are both sooo good so far. I finished The Awakening, and I am almost done with The Struggle. I only started on Wednesday! Crazy, right? Well, that's because I'm a brainic. I have the best grades in the 5th grade. Not to brag, or anything, just to tell you. Well, not at 8, so at 5 or 5:30 or even, 6pm. Okay? Tell me later. :D

    • I'm sorry! I didn't forget, but my friend came over because her Mom wasn't at her house, so she had to stay at our house for a while. I was told not to go on here while she was over, because it would leave her out.

Don't worry! I did fairly well on my exams, so you didn't "bother" me at all! Really! You didn't!

Actually, I am terribly sorry, but I might not be able to contact you most next week. We could chat this weekend but not next week. I am going on a school trip all next week and there is no internet where we are going. I am really sorry! Do you want to chat sometime this weekend? I am free all weekend, basically.

Morning on Saturday is a good time for me. Is it for you? 8:30 or 9 ish? In the morning.

Monday at 6 would be good, I think. We should talk then!

Cool! I like One Direction, too. I am not IN LOVE with them, but I like them. A lot of my friends are in love with them and they are obsessed.

I feel like no one ever comes on here anymore. It's kind of sad. The week before the finale, when I was commenting, I would refresh the page 1 minute after I posted something and I would already have 3 new comments. Now, I refresh the page 12 hours later and I either have no comments or one.

I actually can't wait for the Summer Break to be over (even though mine hasn't started yet) because then The Vampire Diaries will be back on and I will have so much more to do.

I am trying to finally pursue my acting career. I have contacted a couple of agencies. They haven't replied, but they told me to wait 24-48 hours for them to get back to me. I am going to start acting in theatre, because there are quite a lot of those around me.

I hope you have a good weekend! Talk to you soon!

      We can talk at 6. can u post your story? here is mine. I am writing more everyday. here it is;

“This is crazy!” says 12 year old Helena Williams. “Dad you’re absolutely crazy!” Helena exclaimed. “Dad, I thought I made this extremely clear, you have got to tell me when we are not moving!” She took a deep breath. “ This is the fifth time I’ve packed and unpacked my stuff, Dad, I get tired,” finished Helena.

“I’m sorry honey, but I just found out that I am keeping my job at the office so we aren’t moving to GreenCloak,”

“Ugh!” she screamed and then Helena ran into her room.

When Helena was in her room the phone rang. Ring!-Ring! “Pick it up Helena,” called Dad from kitchen.

      “Hello,” said Helena

      “………………………”

      “Hello! Who is this nutbag!”

“It’s me your nutbag friend!” said Rosie Henderson Helena’s best friend.

“Rosie! I thought you went camping until Sunday.

“I just came home yesterday morning. By the way, have you heard the latest news?” asked Rosie

“What latest news? Is it the one about Riley Green going to that store, Enchantement Boutique, where everything is so so so expensive, even though she told everyone that she is running slow on money, and that’s why all the boys take turns paying for her lunch everyday?” said Helena.

“Umm, no. Not that, but tell me more later! It’s the news that Dalia Winchester broke up with Matt Campbell!”

”What, are you serious!” exclaimed Helena. “No, your kidding, right!?”

“Nope, says Rosie, “I’m telling the truth!”

“How did you find out?” asks Helena.

“Well, if you must know, Ivy told Ruth, Ruth told Danielle, Danielle told Sasha, Sasha told Selene, Selene told Mary, Mary told Geneva, Geneva told Emma, Emma told Chloe, Chloe told Terri, Terri told Victoria, Victoria told Jan, Jan told Helen, Helen told Rachel, Rachel told Taylor, Taylor told Alisha, Alisha told Callie, Callie told Annebeth, Annebeth told Eliza, Eliza told Renee, Renee told us, the School Newspaper Team!” finished Rosie.

“Wow! You tell a huge story, Rosie!” said Helena.

“I know!” says Rosie “Oh, can you wait a minute, Helena, I’ll be right back………………..”

“Oh. Okay .” Helena waited a couple of minutes.

“Helena, I have to go. Dinner. Bye, I’ll tell you more on Monday. Bye!”

      “Bye,” says Helena.

Helena sat down on her bed and the door flew open and then it closed by itself. “What the…..!” Helena thought.

“Helena,” Dad called from the kitchen. “Get ready for dinner.” Helena washed her hands and went downstairs to the dining room for dinner. “Who called?” asked Dad after a little while. “Oh, it was just Rosie,” answered Helena. “Okay.” She finished her dinner and went up to her room.

After a little while her dad came up to tell her to get ready for bed. Helena took a shower before she went to bed. When she walked into the bathroom the lights flickered on and of and on and off and on and off for 10 minutes.

“How did that just happen?!” said Helena to herself.

Helena forgot about the image in her head and took a long shower thinking about everything that happened. “Matt is not in a relationship anymore, I’m not moving to Illinois, and I don’t have to fear Dalia’s wrath if I did anything before she and Matt broke up.

Helena came out of the shower dried herself with a towel and looked into the bathroom mirror. Her long black hair was wet and wavy and her dark brown eyes reflected back at her. Helena’s white-tan skin was glittering with water and her pale cheeks were rosy because of the hot water shower.

She came out of the bathroom and instantly felt cool air.

She went into her room and looked into her dresser mirror in the mirror she saw herself but she also saw a person figure in the back. It looked like a little girl in a night gown. Helena suddenly turned around and saw nothing behind her.

“I could have sworn someone was there. Am I imagining things or am I going crazy!” thought Helena.

Helena went to sleep with crazy thoughts in her head and a dream never to forget.

The next day, Helena woke up, went to the bathroom, got ready and went downstairs for breakfast. She got herself an apple and sat down at the breakfast table. “Sleep well?” asked Dad near the stove making eggs. “Fine, just fine,” said Helena.

“So, when does school end?” asked Dad.

“In like, 2 days,” said Helena. “ Dad, can I sleepover Rose’s house today, since she lives right across the street, you know.”

“Sure…” said dad not paying much attention.

Helena grabbed an apple and headed out the front door. The crisp autumn air was light and breezy compared to the big blows that they had last week. She could smell leaves and fresh apples from the orchard in the backyard. She didn’t move for a few minutes. She took a big breath. She kept wondering about the reflection in the mirror. She shook her head and sighed again.

“You’re over-reacting. There was nothing there, just your mind playing tricks.” She thought.

She walked to Rosie’s house and knocked. Tap-tap-tap. Rosie opened the door. “Oh, hey Helena.”

“Who is it?” Rosie’s mom asked.

“Just Helena! She’s here for the back-to-school sleepover!” Rosie replied.

“Okay!” shouted back Rosie’s mom. “I’m in the den if you need me!”

“Okay, mom.” “Come on in.” “Okay. So, who else is coming?”

“Oh, a lot of people!” replied Rosie.

      “Who?” asked Helena again.

“Oh, well, let’s see, Ivy, Ruth, Danielle, Sasha ,Selene, Mary, Geneva, Emma, Chloe, Terri, Victoria, Jan, Helen, Rachel, Taylor, Alisha, Callie, Annebeth, Eliza, and Renee.”

“Okay. That’s a lot of people.” “Ya, sure. I guess. I mean it is the end-of-the-year sleepover. I have one every year.” Said Rosie.

“Sure. Anyone else here yet?” asked Helena. “Ya,” said Rosie,

“Callie, Annebeth, Taylor, Ruth, Emma, Chloe, Geneva, Selene, and Sasha. Others are coming.” “Come on. Where should I put my stuff?”

“Oh, just put it in the basement. I have been planning this party all month. Mom and Dad got the entire place refurnished. Now we can fit ,like, 18 sleeping bags in there. We put in a huge flat screen T.V. We even have a small table for cell-phones, glasses, hair-brushes, the toothbrushes go in the bathroom, jewelry, and hair elastics and clips. Plus, we’re watching scary movies, you’re welcome to bring your teddy bear.” Rosie said.

“Okay… Umm, well, I’ll go put my stuff down,” said Helena.

“Okay,” said Rosie walking down the stairs, to the basement. Helena walked down the stairs and put her bag in the corner, as she always does, when she visits Rosie for sleepovers and slumber parties. She put her cell-phone on the small table Rosie was talking about. “Hey, guys!” said Helena.

“Hey!” said Selene. “Hey, guys, what’s up?” said Helena.

“Not much, Helena, except we just found out a huge secret!” exclaimed Emma. “What!?” asked Helena. “Okay, so you know how…” trailed off Emma.

“Hey!” said Chloe. “I think that because that it’s Ruth’s story, she should tell it,” she finished winking and grinning.

“You’ll never believe it, Helena Ruth told that guy…!” said Callie and Annebeth at the same time.

“No-o!” yelled Ruth, “I’ll never let you tell her!” “Tell me what!?” exclaimed Helena. “If someone doesn’t tell me right now…!” “Fine, I’ll tell you,” said Ruth. “Okay,” said Helena.

“Okay, so you know how I take seventh grade French instead of sixth grade French?” asked Ruth. “Ya, you’re like the only sixth grader who does that, what’s the point?” asked Helena. “Well, you know Katerina Annabelle Rose Mason? The most popular girl in the school? Well, she got a text from this guy David Anderson, and it was in French, she said that she would usually ask this girl, Marionna, who sits with her at lunch, but she was sick, so she asked someone who was in the French class and some hippie-chick, Deena, she changed her name to Citrus, told her I was in seventh grade French, so later that day, Katerina came to me at lunch and showed me the text and it said ‘Je t'aime M'aimes-tu?’ which means ‘I hate you. Do you hate me?”

“What! It said “hate”!?” asked Helena. “At least I thought so,” said Ruth. “You see, the e in ‘Hate’ can be changed and it then it pronounces; love!

“Wait! Are you saying you double-crossed Katerina Annabelle Rose Mason!?” said Helena.

“Not on purpose! It was a mistake. Anyways, when I told her, oh yes, I had to tell her, she completely freaked out! I think it was because she played seven different tricks on her, ya, seven! Um… they were, oh ya; telling everyone he was bald under his hat, drawing stuff on his locker, covering his books in sparkly pink wrapping paper, he never got any time to fix it, so he had it like that the whole day, replacing his IPod with girly songs and ‘My Little Pony’ theme songs, putting four stuffed animals in this locker, and then when he opened it they all fell out, every body laughed!, telling people he was actually a girl and putting lipstick in his bag to prove it, and finally, the worst thing she did, make him wear high-heels!”

“What! How did she make him do that!?” asked Helena.

“She asked his friend Barney to tell him that high-heels are totally in for guys and he showed him pics of guys wearing high-heels, obviously photo shopped, and he totally fell for it! On Friday, before school started, he wore them to the park!” Ruth said.

“No,” said Helena in a low voice.

“Yes. He fell for it. Katerina took the video she took when he was at the park, and she put it on YouTube. For the whole world to see. And I after that was dead to her. Now I have no shot getting into the Student Council. She’s the president. Thanks to me and stupid French. But why am I even blaming myself? It’s that stupid Marionna that’s to blame. If she just wasn’t sick!” said Ruth.

Helena snorted. “What. Do you think this is funny?! She has ruined my chance to the Student Council! I am never going to get that last award. The Student Council award.”
“They have an award for that?” asked Helena.

      “Whatever,” said Ruth.

“Okay. Let’s get this party started,” said Rosie.

“I have got The Woman In Black, Paranormal Activities 3, The Last Day, and The Vampire Diaries seasons 1,2,and 3. I’ve got ice-cream, sundaes, ice cream cones, popsicles, brownies, and cookies. Which movie do you want to watch?”

      “Oh, not The Woman In Black. I watched that movie last week, so-o scary! Cancel that!” that said Annebeth. “Okay,” said Rosie. Rosie looked at her little notebook. On the page it said;

      The Woman In Black

      Paranormal Activities 3

      The Last Day

The Vampire Diaries Seasons 1,2, and 3

Rosie then said, “Okay, then. We have Paranormal Activities, The Last Day, and The Vampire Diaries 1,2, and 3.”

“No way are we watching The Vampire Diaries. I watched that with Lena once, and it was really cool, but scary, awesome, but a little inappropriate,” said Terri. Lena was Terri’s older sister. She was in high-school. She looked exactly like Terri except older and blonder hair.

      “Well, okay,” said Rosie. She looked back into the notebook and it now read;

      The Woman In Black

      Paranormal Activities 3

      The Last Day

The Vampire Diaries Seasons 1,2, and 3

“Well, I’m sure we aren’t going to watch Paranormal Activities 3. It’s the scariest one!” said Selene.

      When Rosie looked back at her notebook;

      The Woman In Black

      Paranormal Activities 3

      The Last Day

The Vampire Diaries Seasons 1,2, and 3

she said, “Okay, so it’s settled. We’re watching The Last Day.

      “What’s it about?” asked Sasha.

“Oh, it’s about this girl Emma, who falls in love with a boy that is dating another girl, but he loves Emma, too. So then the girl he’s dating, McKenna, never hangs out with him, so he can’t break-up with her, but she tells everybody that they are totally in love, and stuff like that. When he finally breaks up with her, and gets with Emma, she does totally mean things to get back at her, but in the end the girl, McKenna, in a future showing, shows her and Emma’s brother getting married and Emma and the guy getting married, too. Good movie, right?” “Yah, I guess. Let’s watch it now,” said Annebeth. “Okay,” everybody agreed.

After the movie, the girls were hanging out, everybody else had come at one point or another. It was around seven o’ clock. Everyone went up stairs to eat ice-cream and pig out on pizza. When they came back down, Renee said, “Let’s prank call,” she said winking. “Okay!” said Annebeth. “I’ll start.”

“What happened to you, Annebeth?” asked Helena. “You were such a goody-good.”

“Well, people change. What would you rather me sitting at my desk, doing math problems?” asked Annebeth.

“No, no. I’m just saying. Okay here you go Annebeth. Press star 67,” said Helena.

“Okay, *6 7. Okay it’s ringing,” said Annebeth. “Hello? Hello-o? Hello… Yes, hi,” said Annebeth.

“Hello? Who is this?” replied the person on the phone.

“Hello, yes, this is Jessica Bloomingburg from Modern Warfare Selections. (She giggled, then stopped herself) I am here to tell you that you have won an all expense paid trip to France for a couple of 2 or family of 6.”

“Okay, I’d like to learn more.”

“What? Okay. All you have to do is participate in a random people pick vocal/quizzical phone quiz. Are you interested?”

      “Yes.”

      “Okay. Please say “Bu””.

      “Bu.”

      “Tu.”

      “Tu.”

      “S.”

      “S.”

      “R”

      “R”

      “Yu”

      “Yu”

      “Me”

      “Me”

      “Now altogether.”

      “Buts are yummy.”

“Hahaha. Yes, now for the umm… (Giggles) quiz. What is your favorite color?”

      “Pink.”

      “What is your favorite food?”

      “Pickles.”

“What is the most important body part?”

      “Buttocks.”

“ (giggles a lot) Now altogether everything.”

“Buts are yummy. Pink pickles buttocks.”

“Thank you for your time, but you just got PLAYED! See ya later, ‘sucka!” said Annebeth.

“Oh My God!” said Callie. “I cannot believe Beth just did that! You use to be such a goody-good! That was funny!!”

“Okay then, Callie. Your turn,” said Annebeth.

      “Fine!” replied Callie.

      They all took turns prank calling people. Some where classical but necessary;

      “Hello,” said Alisha.

      “Hello,” said a girl.

“Hello, yes, is this Margret’s Bar?”

      “Yes.”

“Can you please page my friend, Seymour Butts.”

“(In a distance) Hey everybody! I’m want a Seymour Butts!”

“Ha ha ha ha ha ha!” said Alisha.

After a few minutes Rosie said, “We should play truth or dare.”

Everybody was excited so then they started playing. “Okay who goes first?” asked Rosie.

“I’ll go first!” said Victoria. “Okay,” said Helena. Victoria was spinning the bottle as Helena heard a noise. “What was that!?” asked Helena. “What?” asked Rosie. “That noise! What was it?!” “Nothing, probably just the radiator. It makes a weird noise, every now and then.” “Oh, sure, just the radiator,” said Helena, but she didn’t believe it.

“Hello!” said Victoria. “Earth to Helena! I spun you.” “Oh, what. Ya. Truth.” “Okay. Who do you have a crush on? Truth only!” said Vic. “Um… I can’t tell you. Sorry,” answered Helena.

“It’s Matt Campbell! Her across the street neighbor!” said Rosie. “Rosie!” said Helena. “That was supposed to be a secret! I told you that in the strictest confidence!”

“Well maybe I’m not the best at keeping secrets anymore!”

After a while the girls stopped playing truth or dare.

“Hey, let’s text the guys,” said Rosie. “It’s boring now, and I can’t have that.”

      “Okay,” said Helena. “Who?”

      “How about… Matt?”

      “No!”

“Yes. And I’ll use your cell.”

“No! No, Rosie, no. Put it down! No! No!”

“Yes. And I have already sent it!”

“No! What did you type? He’s going to think I sent it! Oh, God. This is your fault! What did you type!?” said Helena and she snatched the phone out of Rosie’s hand.

      She looked at the phone and the last message sent said;

hey, what’s up? r u back from the movies?

Well, thought Helena, at least it isn’t too bad.

“Fine,” said Helena. “It isn’t too bad. I guess it’s okay.”

      Ping! Ping! Went Helena’s cell-phone. “Who sent me a text?” asked Helena. “Oh My God! It’s Matt!” exclaimed Annebeth. “What, Matt!? No! What did he send? What should I say!?” Helena said. She looked back at the phone. It now read;

“ nothing much. ya, I got back a couple of minutes ago. Me and the guys are having a sleepover. What’s up with u ?” Helena said aloud to the room.

      “What should I say?!”

“Hey,” said Taylor, “Write back, ‘Nothing much.’”

“Okay,” said Helena, and she typed what Taylor just said.

      Ping!

      Ping!

      Ping!

      Ping!

“Oh my god! He wrote back! ‘Oh, okay. Did u guys watch any movies? We went to watch The Dungeon Slayer. Plus we got 3-D glasses with it,’” said Helena.

      “Omg! Cool!” said Rosie.

Helena didn’t pay any attention, though. Her fingers flashed through the keypad. As she put her phone away, Rosie said, “Hey! Why’d you do that? Things were just getting interesting.”

“Well,” said Helena, “This is a slumber party! Not a listen-to-your-friend-text-her-crush-all-night-long party!”

      “Fine!” said Rosie.

“Hey!” said Chloe. “I have an idea! Let’s have make-overs with my kit! I know we weren’t supposed to bring stuff, but I still brought my kit. It has every type of lipstick ever ,and over 500 eye makeup stuff!”

“Wait!” said Terri. “Is that blue lipstick?”

      “Yes! I told you!”

For the next hour the girls made crazy make-overs. Once they were finished, they made crazy dares for each other. Rosie asked Chloe to go outside and dance on the porch for two minutes while in her crazy hair-do. All the girls stood out there and Annebeth recorded Chloe’s crazy dance and posted it online!

      Ping! Went Helena’s phone again.

“Hey, who is it?” asked Taylor.

“It’s Matt! He says that he saw Chloe’s dance and he thought it was some alien invasion possession thing! And the girl next to her, you, Rosie, looked like a octo-girl!”

“What?!” said Chloe. “They saw us!? NO! This is your fault Rosie!” she said and started to throw pillows at her.

“Hey!” Rosie shrieked, and ducked to avoid the pillow that Chloe threw at her, which ended up hitting Annebeth, who screamed.

“Meow!” went the cat, Adeline, and ran up the basement stairs.

“Sorry, Adeline,” said Annebeth and Rosie. The Henderson’s dog, a black and brown collie named Serious, started barking when he smelled the cat up the stairs, until Rosie’s mom came and took him to the kitchen.

“Hey!” said Annebeth. “Let’s tell spooky stories!” And everyone agreed.

      “I’ll go first,” said Annebeth.

“Okay, brace yourself, this is a really spooky story.” And she started. “Okay, so there was this house and the girls who lived there one day they just disappeared, out of thin air. And then every little kid who walked into the house disappeared too. And there was this guy, okay, and he was a realtor, okay and he tried to sell the house, now known as Old Wickery House. Well, after he cleaned it up, he always thought there was something following him like a ghost or something. And every time he talked to someone about his four year old son, Daniel, he would see it again. So when he started to sell the house, but it really was a hotel, ‘cause they rent rooms, people that had kids, never booked, not even if they had to sleep in their cars, in the middle of winter. So the people, mostly tourists, who knew nothing of the disappearances, booked rooms, and they disappeared too. And you know where they found their bodies? Next to the graves of the kids’ who died!

“Ahhh!” all the girls shrieked which got the cat up the stairs, and the dog barking, again.

      “Sorry, Ade,” Rosie apologized.

      “Can I continue?” asked Annebeth.

      “Sure, yeah,” they all said.

“Okay, so after they all found the bodies, they just said that they took too many drugs, or something like that. Most of the tourists believed it, but the couples who lived in Wickery Falls, knew that it was the Ghost of Wickery House. They left immediately. The tourists who stayed, died and do you know where their bodies were found? Next to the grave of the woman who lived there before the murders.”

“Ahhh!” they all went again. Then a creepy creaky noise came from the stairs.

“Ahhh!” they all went for a third time!

“Girls, is that you?” asked Mrs. Henderson.

“Oh,” said Rosie. “Mom? Sorry if we’re being to loud, Beth’s telling a story.”

“That’s fine, just keep it down after 11 o’clock, okay?

      “Sure,” said Rosie.

“Sorry, Mrs. Henderson,” said the girls.

      “That’s okay,” said Mrs. Henderson.

After the story, the girls talked and then all fell asleep.

Later that night, a strange sound filled the room and a dark eerie glow lit it.

      BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

      BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

      BZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ

“Huh?” said Helena sleepily. “What’s that noise?”

“Oh no! It’s the Ghost of Wickery Falls! Ahhh!” said Terri.

“No, that was a story. It’s my cell,” said Helena. She clumsily got up and went to the table where her phone was.

“Hey! Where’s my cell phone? It’s not here. I… I put it here.”

“Maybe it fell,” said Rosie half-sleepy half-awake.

“No! It’s not here! There it is! How did it get on the couch? I always put it on the table.”

“You probably put it there by accident,” said Annebeth. “Just read the text, and go back to sleeping.”

After Helena read the text she yelled, “Get the lights! Now!”

Rosie turned the light on after falling a few times.

“What is it? What’s it say?” said Ivy.

      And the text read;

Leave him alone! I’ll always be the only one for him. Even if one I’m here and he’s there. Back off, or else…!

      Chapter Two

“Who sent me that?” asked Helena.

“Whose number is it?” asked Rosie.

“I don’t know! It’s some weird 12 number thing. We only have seven digits, right?”

“Ya, we only have seven, but if I remember correctly, there are a few countries that have 12,” said Annebeth. “Okay,” said Helena, “What am I supposed to do? Some person sent me a creepy text in the middle of the night! I am freaked out!”

“Look, Helena, just calm down! Calm down” said Rosie. “Okay,” said Helena. “I just need to breathe and calm down.”

      “Calm down girl!” said Rosie.

“Okay, okay, Rosie, I think you’re the one who needs to calm down.”

“Okay. It was probably a wrong number. I bet that girl who sent it is thinking she told you” said Rosie. They wanted to stop her, but Rosie was on a roll. “Oh,” she mimicked, “I showed that girl! I bet she’ll never lay eyes on my man again!”

After a few more funny mimics from Rose, the girls all fell asleep.

The next morning, the girls got up and went upstairs to eat breakfast and then head home. While they were eating Helena asked, “Will you guys please not tell anyone about this? I feel so embarrassed for freaking out over a dumb wrong-number text. Could you guys not tell anyone?”

      “Sure!” they all said.

      Honk! Honk! Honk! Honk!

      Four cars were there.

“Annebeth! Ivy! Terri! Ruth! Your rides are here!” yelled Rosie. Soon everyone else left and Helena left last, walking home alone, across the street.

When she was walking she had a strange feeling that she was being watched. She shook the thought away and went home.

“Dad! Mom!” she yelled. She thought about what she said. She was use to saying ‘Mom’. She’d have to learn to stop. Her Mom had gotten a divorce, and she had a new family now. She used to visit and she usually sent a end-of-school present, but this year, with two days left until school, nothing had come, and she was sad because of it. When she got home she took a shower put on some comfy clothes; sweat pants, t-shirt, and a gray hoodie, and she planned to do her homework. But when she started to write, she put her head on the desk for a minute and woke up to her dad yelling, “Helena! Dinner’s ready in twenty minutes!”

What! Thought Helena, I fell asleep! Great! Now I’m going to be up all night doing my dumb home-work!

She thought about starting the homework but then she e-mailed Rosie.

      HelenaOfTroy: hey what’s up?

RoseThorn: nothing much. I was just thinking about the text from last night. And it reminded me of…

Helena clicked on the link that Rosie had sent her. It took her to the page and it was loading.

HelenaOfTroy: It’s still so sad. I cant believe it happened.

      RoseThorn: I no. so sad.

RoseThorn: I have to go. HW and lots of it. See u 2morrow.

      HelenaOfTroy: K. bye.

Helena looked back at the page which was now fully loaded. It showed a girl with luscious black hair, and mesmerizing blue eyes, that were as dark as the ocean. She was wearing light pink glasses and her wavy hair was down. She was sitting on a stone bench next to a sign that said the name of a fancy college. This was Sara Taylor. She was new to Riverdale Falls. She moved two years ago. When she came to the school, Riverdale Middle School new students were common, but Sara was different. She was smart, sophisticated, and popular. Everybody wanted to be her friend, and mostly everyone was. But she didn’t become snobby or mean. She was friendly, nice, and kind. All the boys wanted to go out with her, but she really fell for Matt. Almost instantly they were a couple. The other boys were always goofing around and telling others they were dating 5 girls at a time, but Matt was really in love with her. But everything went wrong when Sara was walking home from the park, from studying with her friend. A drunk driver lost the wheel and crashed into Sara when she was crossing the road, as there was a red light. Helena remembered everything, all the friends of Sara, crying in school, the funeral, the college foundation that Sara’s parents had made years and years ago, when Sara was only 2. Only recently Matt started to go out with other girls, since he was still sad about Sara. Dalia Winchester, she was one of the girly-girls and popular people. Her parents were rich and she had been the only one who shopped at all those expensive shops, and she got hundreds and hundreds of free outfits from famous designers, since her mother was a famous fashion designer.

Helena kept thinking if Matt liked her. But then the thought flew into her mind. He only likes ‘those’ kind of girls. She had known Matt her whole life. Their mothers had met in an cooking class and they became friends and everything. Helena thought about it and concluded that Matt would never like her back because she never owned anything from those teenager stores. Just normal stores at the mall. So Matt will never like her because she isn’t a popular girl. That’s really shallow of him. Not to like someone because they aren’t as rich as someone else. Helena was really starting to doubt if she even liked Matt anymore. But of course she did. He was Matt. She had known him forever and he had never been shallow before. He probably isn’t now. Plus, she knew he would never judge someone like that. She went down to dinner after a few minutes and then fell asleep later.

The next day, Helena got up and remembered that school started back today. She figured that it was going to be terrible day. She couldn’t think straight. Not since the creepy text incident. All she could do was act like it was a joke. She didn’t sleep well that night, first, doing her homework, and then having some nightmares about all the stuff that happened. After a few minutes, and a call from her dad saying, “Helena! Helena, get up! You’ll be late for school!” she got up and went to her bathroom. She couldn’t find her towel and she was already late.

“Ugh!” Helena mumbled as she put on her glasses. “Where is that stupid towel!?” Helena thought. She finally found it all the way across her huge room, perched on her enormous wooden dresser. She use to live in Manhattan, where a dresser like that couldn’t fit into three apartments squished together. She lived with her Dad and Mom, until her Mom moved away. Then it was just she and her Dad. When her Dad had scored a opportunity to go for his dream job, they had moved. But instead of taking their furniture with them, her Dad had suggested to buy all new furniture and other items, too. The only things that Helena had actually taken with her were; her big mahogany desk, the only big thing in their small apartment, her blue quilt that Helena felt was lucky because it fit on her new double-queen bed, compared to the small bed she had in New York. When she came out of the bathroom she stepped into her room, but in the mirror was something. But in a blink it disappeared. She shook her head, thinking about deciding what to wear. She always took her outfit out the night before, but she didn’t have anytime to choose between dinner and homework.

“What should I wear? What should I wear?” Helena muttered to herself. She found a pair of skinny denim jeans and some blue flats that went well with the jeans, being a navy blue color. Now she had to find a t-shirt.

After about 20 minutes of digging through her closet, Helena found a black button-down blouse-t-shirt that looked great with her bouncy black hair. She looked into the mirror again and this time she liked what she saw. She looked at her watch and saw that she had about forty more minutes until her bus came up. She sat down at her vanity. She opened a few shelves and pulled out many supplies. After a few minutes she looked at the vanity. She had pulled out; eyeliner, mascara, blush, lip gloss, eye shadow, and a lot of hair supplies. She knew that for thirteen she had a lot of make up, but her Dad didn’t mind buying her those kind of things. For such a serious man, he was an understanding Dad. She put a little bit of each cosmetic on, and then she started on her hair. She first used a curler to make her hair noticeable, but then she straightened it. Helena then took out her small, yet beautiful, jewelry box. It had a lot of earrings in it and necklaces, too. She put on a pair of black star stud earrings and a necklace that had a black star on it too. It was set. She grabbed her bag and went downstairs.

“Hello,” said her Dad, sitting down at the table, drinking coffee and reading the newspaper.

“Hey, Dad,” Helena replied. She grabbed an apple from the fruit bowl and sat down at the table. She took a bite.

      “Hey, Dad?” asked Helena.

      “Yes?” he said.

“Um…” she said. She wanted to tell him about creepy text, but she figured her would suddenly freak out and take her cell away, so instead so lamely said, “When are we going to redecorate my room?”

“Oh! Well, let’s see. Since my new job as an architect, we can get all kinds of ‘cool’ desks, drawers, vanities, and bed frames, too. I wanted to ask you, do you want wallpaper or paint? The room is white, so both can work,” he said, mumbling the last part.

“Oh! Okay. I guess we can paint it. Wallpapering takes forever.”

“Great! We can start Saturday! What color?” he asked.

“How about… blue? Like a dark and light shade. I think it’ll look good with the dark mahogany and the white vanity.”

“Great. Thanks, Dad.” She finished eating the apple and threw it out. “Bye, Dad!” she called out as she left the house.

“Bye! Have a good day at school!” he replied.

As she left the house to wait for the bus, she got a strange feeling that she was being watched. Again. She realized that she should walk to school. To see if she saw anyone staring at her.

As she was walking she saw nothing.

Maybe I just imagined it. I didn’t see anything so far.

As she walked the last few blocks to the school, she kept wondering what she’d do over the summer. The beach with friends and sleepovers and slumber parties with friends sounded pretty good.

      “Hey!” said Annebeth.

“Hey! What’s up? I didn’t see you, sorry,” said Helena.

“That’s okay. I just called you just now. Have you seen Rosie?” she asked.

“No, not since last night. Why?”

“Oh, because my Mom said I could have a slumber party, tomorrow. My Mom said we could sleepover and she would wake us up at six to get ready for school. I needed to invite her,” said Annebeth.

“Wow! A slumber party on a school night? Your mom is so cool!”

“I guess! By the way, here’s yours. Hope you can come!” she said, and ran off to give the other girls their invites.

A slumber party on a school night? It wasn’t that surprising for Annebeth. Her parents were very, very, very rich! They had a huge house. It had forty bedrooms and thirty bathrooms. No wonder they could all go in each bathroom to get ready at the same time. And Annebeth’s Dad could get the bus driver to drive them all to the school. But the bad thing about Annebeth’s house and money was that sometimes kids only were friends with her so they could get free stuff. Luckily, all the friends invited to Rosie’s slumber party best friends of Annebeth all knew she was cautious to choose friends, and that none of them wanted to use Annebeth for stuff. Which was a great thing.

Helena opened the envelope and read it while walking. She read a bright blue card (Annebeth’s favorite color) that had bold words written in glittery purple words that read

      Slumber Party!!!!! J

Where: Annebeth’s House: 43 McKenna Drive.

When: Tuesday, June 12. 3 days Before School ends!

What: Food- Pizza, Desserts, Candy! Games, and Gossip!

      ;) !

      RSVP: Today!!!!!

      Be there! Or else…!

“Ha!” Helena said. “This is hilarious!”

Went she got to school she went straight to Rosie and told her about the card.

“I know! Come on let’s go to class. Ms. Richards will never let us live it down if we’re late!” Rosie replied. And they both went to the classroom.

During the class, Helena was taking notes about Marie Antoinette and when she turned around to see Rosie, Rosie pointed her finger across if where Rosie was sitting. And obviously she was pointing to Matt. After a few minutes she glanced back at where Matt was sitting. He was looking right at her. She turned around and was smiling. But then her smile faded away when Kassandra McKailey, one of Dalia Winchester’s posse group, gave her a note. Once she read it tears started to form in her eyes. It said

You are such a loser. Apparently, you can only get guys by stealing them. Stay away from Matt. He is mine. I think you need a reality check. You have no friends, no popularity, no style, and you have nothing. I have everything. I rock. You suck. Gosh, why can’t you just lay low!? Why can’t you just get lost!? Nobody wants you here! Just leave, nobody will miss you, Loser!

Helena was frozen. There was no way this was anybody else’s note. The neat handwriting, mentioning of Matt, and the threating words meant only one person: Dalia. As she wiped away the tears in her eyes she was careful not to smudge her makeup. She didn’t need Dalia making fun of her for two things. She looked at the teacher. She pretended to forget the note. She pretended to not here Kenzie Rocks and Cassandra McKailey whisper about her. And she definitely pretended not to see Dalia glare at her when she turned around. After a while the bell rang, and everyone flooded out. Helena stayed back and waited for Rosie. Once Rosie caught up with Helena, she saw the tears in Helena’s eyes.

“Hey! Helena, what happened!? Why are you crying?” Rosie asked.

“I’ll tell you at lunch,” was all Helena could manage.

At lunch she was sitting with all the girls and one by one they all read the note.

“The nerve of Dalia!” Annebeth practically screamed when she read the note. “That girl needs a taste of her own medicine! I am going over there and explained to her that she does not threaten Annebeth Arielle Williams’ friends!” she exclaimed and ran of to the KKD’s (Kassandra, Kenzie, and Dalia) table.

“NO!” yelled Helena. “If she tells them off they will think I told! NO! This is the worst day of my life!” Helena screamed.

      *****KKD’s Table******

Annebeth stomped over there and cleared her throat.

      “Ahmm.”

“Yes. What do you want?” said Dalia.

“Ya! What do you want?!” Kenzie practically screamed.

“Ya! What do want!?” Kassandra said after Kenzie.

“I want Dalia to apologize to my friend Helena for writing such a nasty note to her! Okay! That’s what I want!” she told them.

      “No way,” Dalia said.

      “Ya, never!” said Kenzie.

      “Totally! Never!” said Kassandra.

“Ya, well I don’t care if you don’t want to apologize. You have too!” Annebeth said.

“So… she sent the brainiest kid in school to defend her. Wow. That’s original. What’s she think your going to do? Be a lawyer,” Dalia replied coolly.

      “Ya! And boring!” said Kenzie.

“Ya! Boring and Original!” said Kassandra.

“You know what I think is boring and original? Following Dalia around and repeating everything she says like a parrot!”

      Kenzie and Kassandra gasped.

“You are annoying. Go away,” Dalia said.

“You know what. I will not move until you apologize!” said Annebeth stubbornly.

      “Fine I’ll say ‘Sorry’. Leave.”

“You know what? I think you guys are breaking the law,” said Annebeth.

“How?” asked Kassandra with actual curiosity.

“Well, you must have a license to be so rotten, snooty, obnoxious, and so freaking self-centered! Now apologize to her, before I tell the counselor you bullied, threatened, and intimidated her,” Annebeth finished slyly.

“Fine! I ‘ll apologize. Go away!” said Dalia.

“You better!” said Annebeth, and walked away.

After Annebeth came back to the table Helena screamed.

“What did you say!?” she yelled.

“Nothing! Gosh, get off of me! I just explained to her that she has to apologize to you! Okay? She said she will. And I said she’d better.”

“Okay. Okay. That’s not too bad.”

“See I told you. Now, let’s talk about my sleepover,” said Annebeth.

For a few minutes Helena thought everything was fine. But deep inside she knew it wasn’t.

When Helena came home he Dad wasn’t there. She called out a few times, but no answer.

“Dad! Dad!” she yelled. She went into the kitchen. While she grabbed a soda, she saw a note on the counter.

      Helena,

I’ve gone out for a while. I will be back late. Make sure to lock the doors and close the windows. There are some leftovers of veggie rice and chicken in the fridge, which you can heat up in the microwave. Don’t stay up to late, and don’t wait for me. Make sure you don’t make a mess.

      Love, Dad.

Helena sat down on the couch. She turned on the T.V. and flipped through the channels. She finally stopped on the channel that had a horror movie on.

“Ugh. This is creepy,” she thought and turned the T.V. off.

She went to her room. As she sat down on her desk chair thee window flew open.

“What!?” she said. She got up to close the window. She sat back down again and did her homework.

After about two hours Helena was finishing up her vocabulary homework. As she skimmed her paper, she noticed a word was spelled wrong. She got up to get the dictionary off of the bookshelf, and as she was reaching to get it, the entire bookshelf fell.

“Oh My God!” she yelled as the bookshelf completely collapsed. She hooked the shelf back onto the wall and it looked completely fine. After getting the dictionary and finishing her homework, Helena went to take a shower.

      After a half-hour Helena was back in her room, putting on her over-sized pajama t-shirt that said a pretty blue flower on it, Helena’s favorite color. She then turned on her blue (obviously blue) laptop and checked to see if she had any e-mails. The screen read;

From: DianaRoss- Subject: New Fashions! 50% off!

      From: SportsBoy101-Subject: Hey.

      From: RoseThorn-Subject: Hey! What’s up? R u ok now?

      From: Flowr67-Subject: I guess I’m sorry. Whatever.

From: Arielle-Aurora-Subject: Hey r u ok now? That girl better not threaten u again! =)

From: Teen Better Beat-Subject: Out Newest Issue! Tons of Gossip and Advice! Read it now! And Subscribe!

      The first e-mail was from a major fashion industry that her mom works at. They had a shop at the mall. Whenever she went there she saw he mom and she had tons of free stuff that she could have and tons of stuff that she could buy for, like, 70% off. The second e-mail was from Matt! When she opened it, it said;

      From: SportsBoy101

      To: HelenaOfTroy

      Subject: Hey.

Date: Monday, June 11th. 4:32 PM

Hey, Helena. What’s up? Mr. M said we have 2 have a new end-of-school-year science partner. And I was wondering if u want to be my partner. N E way, tell me if yes. Thanks.

      -Matt.

      And Helena wrote back;

      From: HelenaOfTroy

      To: SportsBoy101

Date: Monday, June 11. 8:12 PM

Hey Matt. I guess I could be your partner. I was going to ask you, but I thought Dalia was your partner. Anyway, sure I will be your partner. See u 2morrow.

Helena couldn’t believe what she had just been asked. Matt Campbell, her crush, had just asked her to be her science partner!

The other e-mails were from; Rosie, Annebeth, and Dalia? Had Dalia Winchester send her a e-mail!? This was going to be terrible. So she saved the worst for last. Rosie and Annebeth had sent her e-mails asking about if she was feeling better. She wrote them both e-mails about how she was feeling better and how Matt had e-mailed her. Then she opened Dalia’s email.

      From: Flowr67

      To: HelenaOfTroy

Date: Monday, June 11th 5:45 PM.

Okay. So I guess I owe u an apology. For what. I don’t no. So “I’m Sorry.” Guess your ‘friend’ Annebeth, was convincing. But just a FYI stay A-way from Matt! I mean he doesn’t love me, but I love him! Oh, forget it! He doesn’t love me and I don’t love him. So do whatever u want, k? I’m sorry for writing that note. Its just I liked him back then not anymore, okay? Bye. See u 2morrow.

      -Dalia

Wow! Had Dalia Winchester, the most popular girl in the school, just apologize to her? Wow. She soon was really happy for an apology! She wrote back a note saying thanks for the apology and saying she’ll see her tomorrow.

Soon she fell asleep. But suddenly, she heard a strange noise.

“You… you are the chosen one. You can only defeat her. Stay strong! Resist her efforts to control you! Defeat her! You have the power,” someone was whispering.

“Ahhh!” she yelled. She was gasping for air. She walked outside and saw the light in the kitchen on.

Oh My God! There’s someone here!

She grabbed the bat next to the closet that she used for sports. She walked into the kitchen and swung the bat and yelled, “Ahhh! Get out!! Ahhh!”

“Stop! Stop! It’s me! Stop!” yelled Dad.

“Dad!? Oh My God! I heard some creepy whispering noise and then I heard someone and then I saw the light on and then I thought we were being robbed or something and then I just… grabbed the bat and started swinging! I am so sorry!” Helena gasped.

“It’s okay. It’s okay. Just make sure who you’re hitting next time,” Dad said. “I was just grabbing something to eat.”

“Oh, okay. Wait!” she said and ran to her room to get the invitation to Annebeth’s party.

      “Here!” she said.

“Hmm…” her Dad said as he read the invitation. “I guess you can go. But…”

“Dad! Come on! You know that Beth’s house has like forty rooms, right?! So we can all get ready at the same time! Plus, Beth’s Dad got us bus passes so we can get on the same bus with her in the morning! This is all planned out for you! Please come on!?” Helena explained to her father.

“Okay. But…” her Dad trailed off.

“No buts! I have to go! I have to go!” she exclaimed.

“Okay, but, let me finish! This says you have to RSVP by today, and it’s already eleven-thirty. I don’t think Annebeth’s parents will put her on the phone at such a late time.”

“Oh, well, I’ll text her or something. Thanks!”

“Okay, but go to bed! It’s late!” her Dad said and she went to her room.

In her bedroom, Helena texted Annebeth, even though it was so late, she knew Annebeth would totally text her back soon as possible.

Hey Beth. Sorry for waking u up. Dad just came home. So I just asked him. He said yes. I will bring the basics as long as u promise me we will not text Matt all night long!

      And then in light speed Annebeth texted back. For such a brainy person Beth was really good with phones, IPods, and other electronic stuff. Once a few months ago, Helena dropped her phone and the battery part and some of the wires fell out, and Helena didn’t want to tell her Dad, and then Annebeth fixed it in ten minutes. Annebeth texted back;

That’s ok. I was up N e way. U can bring the usual stuff, which I’m pretty sure u already no, because we have 1 every week. We will not text boys! Only for a little while, b/c Rose will make us. See u 2morrow. J

      After that Helena fell asleep.

The next day, Helena woke up she was completely confused. Her alarm clock didn’t go off, or at least it did, and she slept through it. Her entire shower was a blur and when she looked in the mirror her hair was terrible! She spent a lot of time looking through her closet trying to find a reasonable outfit to wear. She finally decided on a long t-shirt that had a graphic design of New York on it with some skinny jeans. She put on some black sneakers and grabbed her tote bag that had a huge flower on it.

She then remembered she had to get her bad ready for the party. She grabbed another big tote bag of a rack filled with tote bags, and started packing stuff in it. She grabbed her favorite p-js, a frilly aqua colored t-shirt, some jeans, other clothing, a big make-up kit, and a lot of other stuff. She grabbed bag and left her other bag on her bed to pick up later, and went downstairs.

“Good morning!” said her Dad cheerily.

What? Thought Helena Why is Dad so cheery in the morning?

“Umm… morning,” said Helena. “Why are you in such a good mood?”

“I just am,” her Dad replied.

      “O-Kay,” she said.

“Why are you in such a bad mood?” he asked.

“Because. I woke up late because my alarm clock didn’t work or I slept through it or something. And somebody didn’t wake me up,” she said glaring at her dad.

“Hey, hey!” said dad. “I was the one who got here at eleven-thirty! Not you.”

“Whatever. I have to go to school, bye,” she said and headed out the door with a poppy seed bagel.

She walked down the street and took out her cell-phone. She sent a text to Rosie.

      hey. What’s up?

      And Rosie texted back.

      Nothing much. r u going 2 Beth’s sleepover?

      -Ya. R u?

-Ya I am. Do u no if Gossipy Joan is coming?

      Rosie was referring to Joan ‘Gossip’ Jenner. She was the gossip central of the school. She had been born with a ear for rumors. If you had even let a whisper in front of Joan the whole school would know it by the end of the day. So Helena texted back;

Ya, I think. Beth’s good friends w/ her. Well see u at school.

      -ya see u.

Once she got to the school she went to her locker and took the necessary books and went to her class. At lunch she and all the girls invited talked about the party.

“Hey,” said Helena. “Are we going to go out. I mean at your last sleepover we went to we ended up going to the that shop with the cute dresses and I didn’t have any money to buy that blue dress with the sequins around the top.”

“I think we’re going to the mall, so you can all bring a couple extra dollars,” said Annebeth.

After school ended, all the girls were going to Annebeth’s house by walking to her house, not to far away from the school.

“Hey,” said Helena. “I have to go to my place to pick up my bag and a couple of extra bucks,” and she headed away from the group and took a turn at the next street.

“Dad!” she yelled. “Dad! I came to grab some things before I go to Beth’s party!”

      “Okay!” Dad yelled.

Helena went up to her room and grabbed her bag, and she looked through her dollar purse and put the entire thing in her bag with a few extra clothes; a few t-shirts, some shorts, and another pajama t-shirt.

“Hey, Dad?” she called out after she went downstairs.

      “Yes?” he said.

“Can I have a couple a dollars, since Beth said we’re going to go to

    • I wake screaming. I just awoke from one of those terrible nightmares again. You know, those where even after you’re awake they still haunt your thoughts? I reach over to my nightstand hoping to comfort myself by turning on the light. When I do turn it on I see that it’s only 4:00 in the morning. Two more hours left until I must get up. Every night I awake to these nightmares, but sometimes I suffer through them until the morning. This has been going on for almost a month. I’ve tried to tell my aunt, Lucinda-who took me on after the accident-but she would just assume that I was still in denial about the accident and send me to get “help”.

With my room illuminated, I notice that there is nothing to worry about, no monsters under the bed, no monsters in the closet. Good. I used to never believe in monsters, but that changed ever since the nightmares arrived.

“Bri? Are you alright?” Lucinda looks just as beautiful now as any other time of the day. Her brown locks are up in a messy bun and her matching eyes are sparkling.

I realize that I’m still sweating. “Yeah. I’m fine, Luce.”

“I’m worried about you. Is there something you’re distraught over, because I can help?”

“No. It’s nothing.” I’m still not sure why I’m having the nightmares so I really am telling the truth.

“You’re waking up in the middle of the night-like this” she points her finger at me “-sweating and terrified and you shut us all out. Please, Bri, I want to help you but you need to let me into your life first.”

“I’m fine, Luce. Please. I’ll do my best to let you in to my life more, but I’m just in a hard time right now. You understand, right?” I think from the tone in my voice, Luce caught on to the fact that I don’t want to discuss any of this with her right now, right here.

She picked herself up from the end of my bed and walked out of the room, without saying a single word. The emptiness of my bedroom was frightening. The only thing I could possibly do was sleep.

      CHAPTER 2

When my alarm clock goes off, I slam my hand down on the Dismiss button. It’s six o’clock in the morning and I want to get up and ready for school. It’ll be the first day of being back in school since my parents were found dead in our apartment, four months ago.

I walk over to my dresser and slip on the jeans and t-shirt that Luce bought me last week. The jeans are white and the t-shirt is black and lacy. I run downstairs to find Luce sitting at the breakfast table, watching the news.

“Hey! Good morning! What do you want for breakfast?” Luce asks.

      “I’ll just have the usual.”

      “Okay.” Luce replies.

I walk into the kitchen over to the high stainless steel cupboards and pull out a cranberry muffin.

I sit down and listen to today’s news.

The Gray case has not yet been solved. Brianna Gray’s parents were found dead in their apartment exactly four months ago from toady. Brianna has been living with her aunt Lucinda Foster, since. We have no leads on this case, yet, but we will find the person that killed your parents, hear that Brianna Gray, we will.”

I don’t know what just happened. I’m so mad that the person who did this to my parents hasn’t been discovered. I’m so mad at the news reporters for just moving onto the next headline in the news and pretending like my parent’s murder was just a tiny case. I’m so mad at myself for letting this happen to them, anyways.

“Hey sweetie. Everything’s going to be alright! Don’t cry!” I didn’t even notice that I was crying until I run my hand under my eyes and they come off wet.

“I’m fine. I’m fine. Can you drive me to school now?” I finish my muffin while Luce comforts me and we both leave the house and head out to her BMW.

      CHAPTER 3

We drive up to school and Luce parks in the closest parking space, because, surprisingly it’s not taken.

“Are you sure you are going to be okay to go to school today?” Luce asks.

      “Yeah. Why?”

“Well, you didn’t seem alright last night…and I really think you need to get some help or at least take a little more time off school to deal with your parent’s death before you go back.”

“I’m fine! I am! It will be better for me to go back school because then I can get my mind off Mom and Dad.” When I look at her I feel like I’m going to cry again, just lose myself, so I get out of the car, slam the door, and run into school.

I check my watch-8:30-perfect, I’m on time. Everybody is lined against their lockers, staring at me because they know just as well as I do about what happened to my parents.

I hear murmuring against the lockers “Poor girl, no one know what happened to her parents.” “I hear it was a suicide.”

I run to my locker to find my best friend, Cher, she looks distraught, and I know that because her forehead is creased with wrinkles. Cher is always worried because she has troubles with her family. Her Dad left her Mom and then her Mom started to drink.

“Oh my God! Are you alright! Come here!” She invites me into open arms and I accept.

“I’m fine. I’m fine. I really am fine.”

      “Really?”

      “Yes!”

We walk into class and stay there for forty minutes. That repeats until the end of the day.
