The Vampire Diaries: Digital Comic

The Vampire Diaries: Digital Comic is a series of comic books published by DC comics.[1]

The anthology series features the stories by B. Clay Moore, Colleen Doran, Leah Moore and John Reppion, Tony Shasteen and Cat Staggs.[2][3]

Please note that any information in these comics is not canon.

In 1865 a warlock named Julian made a deal with Stefan Salvatore and Damon Salvatore. In the exchange for destroying the vervain from Mystic Falls, Damon and Stefan must give him their blood so that he can cast a spell to extend his lifespan. The spell needs to be "renewed" each 24 years.

In the present day, Damon met Julian in Mystic Grill. Damon said that Julian doesn't need to destroy vervain in Mystic Falls, since now it's much easier to find it. Julian says that if they don't do the spell soon, he will die in the next seven days. Three days later he arrives to the Salvatore Boarding House with a dead waitress. Julian looks much older then he did three days ago. He casts a spell to trap Damon in the house. Stefan rings with the brass bells in front of him, driving Julian crazy. They realize that the price Julian pays is vulnerability to some objects. Julian escaps the scene.

A few days later Julian returns looking like an old man. He destroys the only water-free well making a large crater. He says to the brothers that after when he dies, the vervain will be the most common plant in the world. They agree to honor the deal. They go through the spell again, but then Damon bites him, feed him with his blood and breaks his neck. Later Julian wakes up as a vampire. His witch powers are gone. Stefan and Damon throw Julian down the crater.

Damon and Elena are playing hide and seek in the Salvatore Boarding House. Elena finds a dead girl's body with a diary in her hand. Elena takes the diary and discovers that the girl's name was Ligeia de la Poer. Her family moved to Mystic Falls. The town people imprisoned her in the basement of the Salvatore Boarding House.

It's December 2008. Stefan visits his uncle Zach Salvatore] in Salvatore Boarding House. They talk about Stefan's diet and Damon. In the next scene Elena Gilbert and Bonnie Bennett are walking in the woods to a party. Matt stopped to pick them up with in his truck. During the party, two guys kidnapped Angela and fed on her. Stefan found her body.

Stefan buried her body somewhere. He and Zach talked about the vampires. A group of vampires who killed the girl earlier attacked a woodcutter in the forest. Stefan saved him only to kill him a few minutes later. At the party, Zach gave Elena his handmade brooch laced with vervain.

A man was in the hunt. Suddenly Stefan came and killed deer and compelled the man to forget what he saw. The man went to the gas station's toilet. Elena was already there covered in blood. She also compelled him to forget. The man drove further. Damon hitchhiked him. The man offered him to give him a ride. The man said that he is sorry that Damon's dinner plans were spoiled. Damon said that he'll bite something on his way home implying that the man will be his dinner.

At the same time Isobel turned Paul, her minion into a vampire. While Alaric was training in the woods, Paul attacked him. Alaric managed to stab him two times with a stake laced with vervain. Then Alaric took put his crossbow and shot Paul in the heart. When he got back home, he received a call from the secretary from Mystic Falls High School. She said that there is a vacant spot for him.

Sheila Bennett took Bonnie to The Other Side to meet Sheila's mother, Amelia Bennett.

Sheila told them her story of how she went to Woodstock and met Stefan and Lexi Branson. He offered Sheila to take her home to Mystic Falls. When they got here, Amelia invited all of them in. It was revealed that Stefan and Amelia had romantic past and that Damon killed some people seven years earlier. Meanwhile, Lexi told Sheila that they are vampires. Lexi and Stefan left the house, but the mayor saw them and appointed a Council meeting. Later, a police officer questioned Stefan who introduced himself as Steven. Meanwhile Sheila gave a speech on the streets about the war. Policeman arrested her, but Stefan compelled him to let her go.
