Hi. Sorry to bother you with this, but I just saw a user that is blocked by you, with no reason stated. I checked the users contributions and also checked deleted user contributions, but I found nothing that would require 3 months of block. Just curious, why did you block that user? 188.8.131.52
Nice to meet you! Not at all, the IP address had inserted gibberish into the Damon, Elena, Stefan section which is why I blocked him. If you have a different time mode for blocking users, you can of course decrease the amount of time at your discretion.
Sorry again, but I still see no inserted gibberish. All I see is a few lines moved to the center of the text, and 2 comments. Deleted contributions is also clean. And the block also stated that user can't edit their own talk page, which is why I felt like asking. I hope you don't think I'm going too far, I'm just trying to understand.
No need to apologize at all. My usual policy is to block the user from editing his/her own talk page. I don't believe I deleted his comments because I just checked and they seem fine. He inserted a random Afaf in the quick bit section of the article which you can see in the history.
I usually leave it to the admins to monitor the users, so if you feel that the block is too long/harsh please feel free to remove it. Let me know if you have more questions :)
I saw it now. Thanks for pointing it. The thing is, until 2 weeks ago I was having a very big problem on my account, I couldn't contribute for almost 2 months, and because of that I had more than 400 mails from the pages that I was following. So now I'm checking all those pages and other thinks that I've been out because of that, that's why I'm into a lot of things lately, including the blocks. Now I went ahead and followed that page too.
By the way, the user has been blocked for 17 days until now, which I think would suffice, so do you mind if I remove the block now?
I don't mind at all, don't hesitate to contact me with other questions :) I'm sorry to hear about your problem with the account, did you try Special:Contact? Our Community Support is great with helping out with problems.
Yes, I have been contacting staff, I think, if that's who I'm talking when I send a message to Special:Contact. The problem somehow got fixed by itself, but it was so big that the one I've been contacting had to file a ticket for engineers. I couldn't follow pages, create blog post, or write comments. He's currently still holding the ticket to get my account checked at least to see what went wrong. But I'm good now.
And thanks, I will contact you if I have other questions :)
Hey I know User:CharmeRuler left you a message about twitter. I don't know who that is, but do you think we should just create a new one instead? Because I'm interested in getting a twitter account for the wiki. I just want to known your thoughts on it.
Yes, I definitely have been wanting to start a Twitter account for The Vampire Diaries Wiki (it often trends on Twitter and I want us to take advantage of it!); I left a message with CharmeRuler because he seemed to have created one (although it's inactive) and I wanted to get the password. I wouldn't mind using that one because the name is @TVDWiki but he hasn't responded to me. If you could find out that would be great, otherwise let's start a new one and I'll help keep it active :)
Hey I went ahead and created a new one @TVD_Wiki. Lol I tried the username/pass charmeruler gave me but it didn't work. If you want any of the info just let me know. I'm just not sure how I can give it to you unless you have a email or something?
