  • Hey, I was wondering if you know 'Sleepy Hollow' tv series and could help me with decrypting a spell incantation from 2x09 Katrina uses to curse a poison for demon child? It's most probably actual latin, but I can't figure it out.

  • Hi, I was looking on the character appearances page and noticed that on the Season 5 table Silas isn't listed as a main character, although there is evidence to support that he was. Could someone correct this, or was he meant to be in the supporting characters list?

  • Hello! I have a question. What is your deal with not letting people chat on the discussions page? It used to be a place we could go to talk to our like-minded friends who all love the show or who discuss disagreements. You've completely erased 3 of my posts, one was just to say hi and that I'm new. But it was taken down. You've made it a very unfriendly environment. And if you kick me off, that's fine, you'll just be proving my point. Like Kol said "It's all topsy turvy over here, darling." And as the Beatles said "Let It Be". lol  Please!

    • There are no stupid questions. Apologies, it's shorthand for Terms of Use.

Such as FANDOM's Terms of Use.

  • Hi I'm just wondering what made you think to remove all my edits on the Klaus,Hayley and hope

page I understand the moonlight thing was wrong but Esther trying to sacrifice the child DUE TO Dahlia is a major important detail.

  • Stefan and Valerie's Unborn Child was concieved in 1863, and In Stefan's dream that child (a son in the dream) was 11 years old, meaning the dream took place around mid 1870s.

  • Hi, there! Hope all is well!

I'm writing because I wanted to express my disappointment in how the situation earlier was handled. Well, not just that one situation but several others as well. I have been on this forum since 2010 (for a bulk of that time I was very active, even edited) and in that time, I have cannot recall one instance that an administrator intervened in a thread that did not contain any violent, hateful, disrespectful, vulgar, hateful, etc. speech. It's different when two or more users are fighting and/or being hostile towards one another, but that was not the case in the "Esther" discussion. We were all respectful. The other users and I were totally respectful towards one another. What makes it even more frustrating is that one minute, admins rule that off-topic discussions should be limited, but when we're having an on-topic discussion (at least on-topic to the Wiki, not necessarily the page) there's still a problem. Again, I have never seen an admin step in on a thread because it was off-topic of the thread, unless of course, it was all those things I listed earlier...which the thread was none of those things. If there was a dispute, we were able to hash it out and settle it as adults. We weren't silenced and put in time-out.

Furthermore, I am also unsettled by the fact that my comment was deleted. I was in a rush this afternoon and I did not have time to write a separate message on your wall, but I atleast gave you the courtesy and respect to acknowledge that I wasn't just blatantly ignoring/disregarding your comment after I posted my original comment. I fail to see the need for why a separate message on your wall was even necessary, but that's neither here nor there and frankly, I don't care. That is not my main grievance regarding this matter.

The Wiki used to be more laid-back than what it is now. With all the censorship, comment editing, comment deleting, the administration is becoming too authoritarian" for my personal tastes. It's not the same community I joined so long ago and I'm not sure if I wish to be apart of it anymore. Make no mistake, this is far from a rage quit and I hope you don't interpret this as taking any shots at you, but this Wiki is going in a direction that I don't think I can be involved any longer.

Anyway, if you've made it this far, kudos to you for not falling asleep or shooting yourself. I know I can be long-winded. Whatever happens, just know that it's been a real pleasure chatting and debating with you. You were definitely a formidable advesary when it came to matching wits and I respect that. Thanks for giving me a challenge. You're a groovy dude.

    • It's actually been a stressful month, personally, but that's neither here or there. I hope you are well, too.

In regards to the intervention, I felt that the best action moving forward was to remove the entire comment thread (so it's not just your comment that was deleted - and your final comment was noted, but not the reason why the rest were deleted). I felt, and maybe that's just my perception but anyways, the original topic moved into just pointing blame at one character or another and the "bashing", if you wish to call it that, of Esther.

Given the onset of moving into the final season of TO, actions are being taking to mediate this forum; several actions already accomplished. Some users do feel that comment restrictions are a bit harsh, but on the other side of that, opinions were expressed that too many disrespectful comments were posted and posted regularly i.e. bashing characters and actors for one reason or another. Comments such as, and I quote, "trifilin cheating jezebel" or "selfish wench" can be construed as such, and frankly, I would think we, as adults, could move away from comment as those. Don't get me wrong, there are others made by other users, "rot/burn in hell", etc but they are not apart of this conversation, just I'm just pointing them out.

On the other side of the coin, upon reviewing the comments presented therein, I did not consider the comments leading up to the main comment, where I stepped in, to be sexist or "slut-shaming", though in a board sense I see the implication of the latter, i.e. It's all Esther's fault, Mikael's not to blame, etc. I'm not here to rehash the debate, I'm just trying to see the other side's point of view. Regardless, I don't think it's intentional, I just think it was moving to a point where it was becoming out of hand. Furthermore, I don't think labels should have be thrown into the mix. Overall, in situations as such, it's just best to move on before things escalate and things get said that users may regret.

Hopefully, that makes sense, but in order to maintain the image and respectability of users and viewers reading the comments, removing the thread was in the best interest for all parties.

That's is completely up to you. As I said, with the declining community, you are free to come and go as you please. You are fiercely as stubborn as I, (hopefully you're taking that as a compliment) and, I too, respect your insight and wit as well. There's been many a great debate.

  • I changed the Hollow's page as the power section was blank for some reason and it appeared that what I had removed was the cause.

  • Hi Bennett sorry to bother you but when I edit pages I can't see the edit preview anymore and the text in tabber disappear like it's deleted but is still there in the show changes. Can I save the edit anyway or does it delete content?
