Each time a registered user visit the main Portal or read the welcome message, his/her name will appear automatically. If you are an anonymous user, the name will not appear as Wikia Contributor or User:??.??.???.?? but s/he will see the title: "Anonymous User". If you have another idea / name for unregistered users, let me know.
Wikia Contributor title is not recommended because not all users are editing here, they are here to see the site.
User:??.??.???.?? is a way to identify the IP, but the source cannot identify the IP, so they can not see the numbers.
Anonymous User is a temporary title, because I don't know which would be the most correct name to unregistered users.
This "element" still in testing phase (I need your approval to do this official, aka not eliminate the source, template and edits).
A user named JohnGilbert has been going around acting like he's the character trashing whatever page he comes across I find it irritating and disrespectful to the community. Please repremand him his kind only learn one way and that's not by a warning I'm not saying ban him forever just long enough for him to cool his horses.
All duplicates are in wiki dated prior to October 21 or near this date will no longer appear more. Wiki Staff change the server, and something happened in the process, that isn't longer possible that duplicates can't appear more. Only new duplicate files from last two weeks will appear to the present.
I searched some possible solutions, but it isn't something that can be added or changed directly, because the situation is now out of my hands, for now.
Unlike protection in the walls (black image), Blindaje is a "shield" that can confuse and mislead, even cause despair at not being able to write on walls, edit, comment, etc.
This protection can also be very dangerous if it adds much defense, because it can leave "trapped" the admin, user, etc.
Blindaje has the priority to protect the walls of the admins who wish to take a break without worrying about an attack or some nonsense of any being.
If the situation so warrants, blindaje can also be used to protect pages, such as templates, blogs, forums, images, etc. (Go to my wall, and you will see the Blindaje.)
Note: Blindaje is the Spanish word for "shield or protection". The word "shield" has a medieval appearance and poetic, while "protection" has several connotations.
I don't know (so far) if the users should know about the ogg files, due to size, and the situation of copyright. These files would be 2 to 4 mb, and the number of files it must be very limited by per user.
Other support - I don't know what's happening, but there are problems in the visualization (according to users), so here's something for the zoom.
Hahaha, It's ok, about the Shield. In fact, you can forget you have it "on", and believe it's a problem or bug on your wall. XD
About soundtrack, I already send a message to a member of staff to find out more about this thematic.
Vizualization, the only thing I've noticed is that the words in my infobox had to be smaller so they do not have double row, and my edits image in my profile is now more "small". The rest. . . I have not had problems with visualization, or other elements, so I don't know about the changes of new fluid layout.
Alaric. .. What would you do if you had found first the links of the pages of the epub files?
You'll keep the secret and had not informed anyone.
Hmm, unfortunately, there are two users who haven't been online for some time now, so there is no way to give the links without having problems. You already know them.
If you have someone in which you trust and if s/he is interested in having the 12 elements, there isn't problem if you give her/him the links, just be discreet as I did. (I don't want this spreads like a virus or flu among users.)
In other circumstances, I would ask you the names of the users, and I would give the links, but as I don't like to get into this type of situation (know about the users that you trust), it's not my business.
I think it would be good idea to reactive the badges of Novels and characters from TVD, but it should also remove the badge character, and create the badge: The Originals Characters.
Categories to Badges:
Vampire Diaries Characters
The Originals Characters
To avoid misinterpretations and not take advantage of the situation to gain points, we must disable and remove the character badge of pages, then add the category (only tvd characters pages): Vampire Diaries Characters, and then activate the badge: Vampire Diaries Characters.
So, there will be no problem with the users, and other begins.
More. . .
The pages of the deceased was specified characters in each of the pages of characters. Thus, the user may visit TVD or TO Deceased pages, when s/he click on the word "deceased" on page of character.
In the pages of the episodes, the series was specified that belongs episode, example:
162 Candles is the eighth episode of the First Season of the series.
I'm sorry, but I'm afraid that I'm against it. We already have 7 badge categories. I don't think that we need more. Besides, some users will try to take advantage of it (editing just to earn badges...).
This is my opinion. You can ask other admins and if the majority is for it then we'll add new badges.
Well, I will take this opportunity, now that all of you are following this message.
Please, those staff members who are following my wall/messages, I don't want you to continue doing this.
The idea of the walls, was so that users seek response quickly and efficiently with other admins and walls, but there are situations that are private, or must be respected between one admin and one user, even if it's the best intentions can be help. (and I had no idea that would apply this strategy to follow the walls, I thought it would follow the movements on WikiActivity.)
And the other reason is because I don't feel very comfortable with this. I've been trying to get used to the idea, but it's really hard for me to do this anymore. (I don't want to give more details on this point. . . by privacy and respect for all of you and myself.)
I don't follow any wall of any staff member, or user. I usually watch the activities on Special:WikiActivity, (the next day to see the new elements, alterations and damage caused by the users.)
