Before you dismiss me, you should know this; if I've woken from my slumber, Dahlia has as well. Once she's sensed your child's magic, she will come for her. And she has the power to kill anyone who stands in her way... unless we kill her first.
Freya to Klaus

They All Asked For You is the fifteenth episode of the second season of The Originals and thirty-seventh episode of the series overall.

Summary[]

UNLIKELY ALLIANCES — When a dangerous run-in with a coven of vengeful Witches forces Rebekah to align with Marcel, they quickly discover that the body Rebekah is currently inhabiting has a checkered past. Upon learning that Rebekah is in danger, Elijah seeks out a respected elder witch, Josephine, in the hopes she might offer her assistance. Meanwhile, tensions build when Klaus clashes with Hayley Marshall-Kenner and Jackson over how best to protect baby Hope from Finn. Elsewhere, Freya convinces Finn to bring her to Mikael, the father she hasn't seen in over a thousand years. Lastly, a confrontation with Freya leaves Elijah and Klaus questioning whether they can trust their long-lost sister.

Plot[]

On a three-way call, Klaus, Rebekah, and Elijah are discussing their new situation. Rebekah is trying to get Klaus to see how awkward it is, Klaus simply thinks it's for the best for Hayley and Jackson and Hope, and Elijah says he's only in Algiers to assemble allies. Rebekah is in the market, and she gets caught between who want to kill her. Marcel arrives in the nick of time to save her, revealing he knows she's Rebekah.

Freya wants to see Mikael, but Finn tries to dissuade her. But she insists, and Finn allows her. Freya cuts her finger, says a spell, and puts her bloody fingers on Mikael's mouth. He awakens.

Klaus wants Jackson to order his wolves to search for Finn, but Jackson only does so because Hayley wants it.

The witches after Rebekah (or really, Eva Sinclair) are Treme witches. Rebekah was over there because she needs to boost her magic to help bring Kol back. Elijah arrives, relieved that she's alright. Marcel says they need to ask Josephine LaRue, the matriarch of the covers outside of the Quarter, about it. She bankrolls the Fauline Cottage. Elijah prepares to meet her.

Mikael awakens to see Freya, and he doesn't recognize her, but she speaks of personal matters only his oldest daughter would know. They hug.

In his research, Elijah finds that Ms. LaRue was a musical prodigy in her youth, and has Gia help him charm her. Ms. LaRue despises vampires, so they need to show her there's a community compromised of a different ‘breed.' Gia figures Elijah will want her in a dress for sophistication, while he simply wears the identical suits in his closet.

Jackson wants Aiden to find Finn in a pack, but after he leaves, Klaus comes and tells him to scatter them because Finn will know they're coming if they're in a group and kill them all.

Rebekah explains to Marcel that she didn't want her brothers to tell Marcel about her in a new body, because she didn't want to see him not as herself, and feared she might be desperate to kiss him with someone else's lips. Marcel teases her, but Rebekah insists she doesn't want to kiss him.

Ruben Morris—a local seer, sage, and prognosticator—comes. Marcel doesn't reveal that Rebekah Mikaelson is inhabiting her body.

Jackson reminds Hayley that he's good with kids, but Hayley has missed out on six months of Hope's life. Jackson says he doesn't want Hayley to feel like she has an obligation to him, but Hayley doesn't feel like it is. Then she asks if he's talking about sex. Hope begins crying, and Hayley's plan of having a relaxing time with Jackson is put on hold.

Ruben has Rebekah and Marcel drink tea, but reveals he already knows who she is. She's Eva Sinclair, a witch who steals children to channel their powers. Rebekah becomes dizzy and weak. Marcel too. Ruben is afraid for his son and all the other children, so he cannot let Eva back into the world.

Josephine LaRue says Elijah is as calculating as she's heard, having Gia perform a musical piece she herself once played to great acclaim as a young woman. But she won't help them, because ever since the Mikaelsons returned to the city, their elders have been murdered and promising young witches have been inhabited against their will. Elijah says he can put an end to all that, but Ms. LaRue doubts it. Underneath the suit, he's just the same as other vampires—liars, monsters wearing human skin.

Rebekah says her real name to Ruben, and that she knows the antidote to jimsonweed, before knocking him out.

Gia tells Ms. LaRue that she's not the queen of the witches, and that she hates Beethoven. She plays a piece of jazz by Eddie South. LaRue reveals she once nearly eloped with a jazz musician until her mother learned of it. She finds Gia's candor refreshing, as most vampires are calculating. Gia tells her Elijah can be trusted, saying that as someone who doesn't trust easily or at all.

Mikael kills Jerrick, but before he can kill Aiden, Freya says there's more important matters to attend to. Aiden goes back to the compound.

Elijah wants the witches to leave Eva Sinclair alone, that she'll no longer be of any more trouble. In return, he'll find the remaining witches. But to relinquish Eva to his custody, she wants Vincent Griffith in return, free from Finn.

Klaus nearly kills Finn, but Elijah stops him just in time. Freya comes, and frees Vincent from Finn's possession. She says the brother she once knew wouldn't stoop to harming a child, but when she mentions Mikael, Klaus leaves angrily because he doesn't want to leave his daughter's fate in the hands of Mikael. Elijah doesn't trust her, but accepts her identity.

Hayley can't get Hope to stop crying, but Jackson manages. They kiss, and getting out of the nursery, fall onto their bed.

Hayley refuses to let Klaus use the pack to find Mikael, that they're there to protect Hope. If Klaus uses Hope to manipulate her again, he won't see the two of them anymore.

Elijah wants to question Vincent first, before releasing him to the witches. Gia notices how Elijah hasn't thanked her yet, and he thanks her. Gia needs help with her dress, and Elijah unzips it, and kisses her neck. They begin to kiss.

Klaus tries to convince Aiden to take control of the pack.

Eva Sinclair awakens, and kills a boy before absorbing a girl's powers.

Klaus: "It's time to use our werewolf army. Finn and the woman who calls herself my sister are in this city. The wolves can help us pinpoint their location."
Jackson: "No, we need all hands on deck here with Hope. I think you can compel humans to track your enemies."
Klaus: "Do my ears deceive me? Or did you just give me an order? In my own home?"
Jackson: "This ain't about your ego, Klaus! It's about what's best for that little girl."
Klaus: "How dare you question my intentions for my daughter!"
Hayley: "Jack, Klaus is right. Finn's body disappeared from the morgue, which means that he's either powerful enough to heal from that explosion, or Freya's powerful enough to save him. Either way, we're not finding them unless we... send our best people out there."
