Mouzam Makkar is an Indian-American actress who portrays Alex St. John in the seventh season of The Vampire Diaries.
Biography[]
Makkar was born in India, raised in United Arab Emirates. She settled in Chicago after hopping the pond while growing up. She has graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign in three years with High Honors and a Bachelor of Science degree in Finance.
Career[]
She began her career in investment banking and private equity before pursuing acting and writing full time. While working in Investment Banking, she wrote a monthly column for Window & Door Magazine titled "Windows on Wall Street".
