Pearl's Apothecary was a local business in Mystic Falls in 1864. Pearl sold several herbs and remedies, including vervain, a herb that is poisonous to vampires, in order to be inconspicuous even though she was a vampire herself. The apothecary sold vervain given by Honoria Fell to the townspeople in perfume to protect them from vampire compulsion and to generally weaken them. After Pearl became trapped in the tomb, the building came into the possession of the Gilbert Family. Years later it became Grayson Gilbert's doctors office. After Grayson died, it became an office. In 2010, after the device was activated, the council unknowingly consorting with Katherine and Isobel, burned the tomb vampires in the basement. The basement was destroyed, but what happened to the office is currently unknown.
