Plot[]

Two thousand years ago, Sybil is telling another siren a story about Arcadius. He was the first psychic and was killed because of his abilities.

In the present, Damon is tasked with finding Peter Maxwell. He goes goes to a car repair shop, and finds a mechanic there. Damon compels him to burn himself.

At The Armory, Sybil tells Stefan and Alaric her history. As a child she started to show psychic abilities and was exiled from her village and put on a raft. She ended up on an island and found another exiled girl. There was no food on the island so they lured sailors from the ships.

While Alaric's gone, Georgie searches his stuff, but Seline, the babysitter catches her. She calls Alaric to tell him this, so Alaric suspects that Georgie might be Sybil's "sister" and goes after her. At that moment, Georgie stabbed Stefan. Sybils transports Stefan to her memories and shows him more of her history and that Seline is actually the other siren, not Georgie. She also reveals that her sister made her a cannibal in secret which is what made Arcadius turn them into immortal sirens considering them to be the most evil people on the planet. They must feed on the flesh, while Arcadius (The Devil) is the one who collects the soul to Hell. She reveals that while he was burning at the stake, with his last breath he created a dimension for all evil people: Hell. Sybil also sees parallels with the sisters and the Salvatore brothers. She says that he can save Damon only if he kills the devil.

Peter Maxwell return to his car repair shop. Damon questions him about Sybil and an unknown Maxwell family heirloom. Peter mentions that there's box of his grandmother's stuff and the heirloom could be in there, but maybe his son had already found it. Damon asks Peter to call his son over. While they're waiting, Peter keeps bringing Damon things that could be the mystery object, but none seems to be the one. Damon realizes that Peteeer is on vervain and stabs him. At that moment, his son Matt shoots Damon. Matt cuts Damon's hand and feeds some blood to his father to save his life. While Matt tortures Damon, he admits to him that he killed Tyler and tells him the exact location of the car he's in. While he's alone, Damon managed to escape and takes a ball with a Maxwell symbol on it.

Alaric ended up trapped in the armory and goes to the tunnels which lead him to Mystic Falls. Meanwhile, Matt reveals the supernatural world to his father. They go to the location Damon gave him and finds Tyler's body. He breaks down in tears.

Georgie meets with Seline, revealing that Seline used mind control to force Georgie to free Sybil. She passes Sybil message: she doesn't need Seline's help. Seline decides to kill Georgie and she's dragged to Hell.

Quotes[]

Sybil: "There are two of us? My sister. Me in here. And her out there."
Stefan Salvatore: "All I care about is how to save my brother."
Sybil: "Damon's fate is already sealed. Damon believes in Hell. You're just as doomed as he is."

Damon Salvatore: "Hey! Hey! Earth to Planet Redneck. Are you Peter Maxwell?"
Lou: "No, Pete owns the place. I'm just the hired help. Name's Lou. What can I do for you?"
Damon Salvatore: "I really need to talk to Pete."
Lou: "Well, have it your way. He should be back in a bit. Hey, what exactly brings you out here?"
Damon Salvatore: "You know, it's hard to say. To be honest, I'm not even the one that cares about finding your boss. There is a woman... and I use that term loosely... Named Sybil, who wants to. So, inexplicably, here I am."
Lou: "Sounds like that gal's screwing with your head."
Damon Salvatore: "Oh, you have no idea. I've been married five times."
Lou: "You'd be surprised."
Damon Salvatore: "Oh, I take that back. You do get me, Lou."

Stefan Salvatore: "Damon, please. After all these years, can't we just give it a rest?"
Damon Salvatore: "I promised you an eternity of misery, so I'm just keeping my word."
Tyler Lockwood: "You kill me, you can say good-bye to everything. No one forgives you for this."
Stefan Salvatore: "Why are you doing this to him?"
Sybil: "It's all Damon, Damon, Damon. Aren't you even a little curious about who I am?"
Village Girl: "I asked for a happy story."
Island Girl: "But it is. Cade had his revenge. And someday, so will we."
